Job summary

New Birth of Freedom Council is seeking a Fund Development Specialist to support fundraising and development, focusing on donations processed in Blackbaud CRM and data entry for membership. The role includes assisting the Director of Development, handling in-person transactions, and coordinating with auditors as needed.

The position is in-office at the Tuckahoe Service Center in Dillsburg, with responsibilities across events, donor communications, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM fundraising system or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons as needed.
• Employment offers contingent upon completing criminal, reference, and motor vehicle background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain donor database with data entry, gift processing, receipts, and reporting.
• Manage donor profiles with biographical, geographical, and financial data.
• Provide sponsorship support and assist in planning major events: York Distinguished Citizen, Golf Tournament, Sporting Clays Shoot, Eagle Dinner.
• Collaborate to ensure timely data entry and maintain database integrity.
• Prepare monthly donor acknowledgment letters and payment reminder mailers.
• Assist in reconciling fundraising reports with financial records.
• Handle filing and records for processed documents.
• Respond to auditor inquiries during annual audits.
• Communicate with donors, staff, and volunteers to support development efforts.
• Provide general office support and event assistance as needed.
• Adapt to new systems for efficient data entry and processing.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
