Job summary

Santander US is seeking a Teller to assist customers with banking needs, process transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling. You will uphold risk controls, comply with policies, and identify cross-sell opportunities to deepen customer relationships.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and comfort with digital banking tools. Weekend and evening shifts may be required in a fast-paced branch environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months cash handling experience.
• 6+ months demonstrated customer service experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others.
• Ability to identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels.
• Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
• Effective listening and communication skills.
• Comfortable using digital tools and technology to engage customers.
• Energetic, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding the need for accuracy and attention to detail.
• Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
• Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming customers and addressing banking needs.
• Process transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
• Adhere to bank policies and risk management to prevent fraud.
• Recognize opportunities and cross-sell bank products to deepen relationships.
• Engage customers and educate on self-service options using digital tools.
• Assist with custodianship, audits, and other tasks.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming work area.
• Support nearby branches as needed.
