Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group Crestwood, KY, is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to deliver welcoming, efficient front-desk service for our Primary Care team in the Louisville area.

You will register patients, verify insurance eligibility, discuss benefits and financial responsibilities, pre-register when needed, calculate patient estimates, collect point-of-service payments, and maintain accurate records using our registration software while upholding privacy and compliance standards, and

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
• Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.
• Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and compassion.
• Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
• Utilize patient access and registration software to support efficient office operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.
• Complete ongoing education and training requirements.
• Support the team by performing additional administrative duties as needed.
