Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking a Guest Services Associate to handle patient registration, verify demographics, insurance and billing information, and update systems. You will welcome patients, facilitate discharge, and help maximize reimbursement while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

The role collaborates with clinical partners to ensure smooth operation, provides patient education on test locations and portal use, handles co-pays, and supports a courteous, safe, and efficient patient

Qualifications

• Associate or higher in health services administration or related field (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience with medical terminology and patient billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to appropriate departments.
• Welcomes patients and verifies/updates patient demographics, insurance and billing information.
• Register patients for services and ensure accuracy of data in systems.
• Facilitate discharge processes and support post-care financial needs and reimbursement.
• Maintain communications between clinical, ancillary and patient access teams to improve patient experience.
• Assist with co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in as needed.
