Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an OB Tech to support RN-led care at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. The role involves scrub tech duties, patient care tasks, and safe handling to ensure patient safety during the night shift. It requires attention to age-appropriate care across adults, adolescents, and newborns.

The position is full-time (36 hours), with night hours 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and weekend rotation. The organization emphasizes compassionate care and alignment with its mission and values.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA certification preferred or completion of student nurse clinical rotation.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association.
• Experience in surgery or OB strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient & Visitor Interactions / Customer Service: interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights and phones, assist visitors.
• Patient Safe Handling/Ambulation/Repositioning: assist in ambulation and repositioning using Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Scrub Tech: prepare and break down sterile instruments, set up OR, scrub before/during/after procedures under RN supervision.
• Admission/Discharge/Transfers: assist with room setup, orientation, discharge and transfer of patients.
