Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks an OB Tech to join our night shift team at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. The candidate will work under RN supervision performing scrub tech duties, patient care tasks, and routine unit support to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The role requires CNA certification or current enrollment in nursing, BLS, and preferred experience in surgery or obstetrics. Night hours, weekend rotation, and opportunity for growth are provided by Endeavor Health.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or completion of student nurse clinical rotation is preferred.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Experience in surgery or OB is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights and phones, and assist within the facility.
• Learn patient safe handling to assist in ambulation and transfers with Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Under RN supervision, prepare and break down sterile instruments and perform scrub duties before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain sterility, set up instruments, and assist in passing supplies and instruments to the surgical team.
• Assist with room setup, patient orientation, and discharge/transfer coordination.
• Document patient care activities, monitor vitals, and assist with procedures as directed by nursing staff.
• Provide patient companionship and assist with non-clinical tasks to support the care team.
• Restock equipment and supplies, relay test results, and perform department-related tasks as needed.
