Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an OB Tech for the Evanston Hospital campus in Evanston, IL. This full-time role covers night shifts (1900–0730) with weekend rotation and includes scrub tech duties, patient care, and support for the nursing team.

You will assist with sterile setup, patient transfers, and routine procedures while emphasizing safety, accuracy, and compassionate care for adults, adolescents, and newborns.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA certification or completion of student nurse clinical rotation.
• Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider (AHA).
• Experience in surgery or OB strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; answer call lights, answer phones, and assist within the hospital.
• Assist in patient safe handling, ambulation, and repositioning with Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Prepare and break down sterile instruments; set up OR rooms and assist scrub duties.
• Assist with admission, discharge, transfers and patient room orientation.
• Document patient care activities and vitals; support age-appropriate care across adults, adolescents, and newborns.
