Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a dedicated OB Tech to support scrub duties and patient care under RN supervision. The role includes night shifts (1900–0730) with weekend rotation, and a 36-hour full-time schedule at Evanston Hospital.

The OB Tech will assist in scrubbing, patient handling, admissions, and daily unit operations, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety. CNA and BLS are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• Preferred: CNA certification (or completion of student nurse clinical rotation).
• Certification: Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by American Heart Association.
• Experience: Experience in surgery or OB strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; answer call lights and phones.
• Assist nursing staff with ambulation, transfers, and patient safety.
• Prepare and break down sterile instruments; maintain sterile field per procedure.
• Assist in room setup, admission, discharge, and transfers; provide patient orientation.
• Document care activities and notify nurses of patient needs and test results.
