Job Overview

Position: Driver I (Non-DOT Management Level Individual Contributor) - Cox Automotive, USA. Must work at a specified Cox location. No remote option. Compensation: $17.00 per hour with potential additional compensation such as commission or incentive programs.

Work Schedule

• Tues. 8am–5pm
• Wed. 8am–5pm
• Thurs. 7am–5pm
• Fri. 8am–3pm
• Sat. 8am–3pm

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day safely.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and customer sites following driving rules.
• Line up and park vehicles in correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader; move vehicles as necessary and locate "lost" vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle operations: inflate tires, jump start using battery box and air tank.
• Notify supervisor of inoperative vehicles; notify service or gas truck driver when a vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers (dealers, account reps, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
• Participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Safe driver required.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, walk long distances, stand, walk, reach, talk and hear regularly.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb frequently.
• Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
• Vision: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to drive standard and automatic transmissions.
• Previous auction experience.

Benefits

Eligible for a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays annually. Additional paid leave options include bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer time off, military, and parental leave.
