CAI Cox Automotive Corp Svcs., LLC is seeking a Driver I – Non-DOT Management Level (Individual Contributor) for a part-time, on-site role at Cox. You will drive vehicles in auction lanes, move cars on the lot, assist with starting vehicles, inspect safety, and support teammates in daily operations.

Hourly pay is $15.09 with potential eligibility for incentives. Work is Wednesdays plus two additional days (typically 8am–4:30pm), up to 20–30 hours per week. No weekends or remote work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver vehicles as needed.
• Prior auction or automotive yard experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through auction sale lanes safely.
• Transport vehicles to designated areas on the premises and to customer locations.
• Line up and park vehicles, assist in starting vehicles, and report any inoperative units.
• Assist customers and coworkers; participate in safety programs and comply with health procedures.

Job Title

Driver I – Non‑DOT Management Level (Individual Contributor)

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly pay of $15.09. May be eligible for additional compensation such as commission and incentive programs. This is a part‑time position, up to 20–30 hours per week, scheduled primarily on Wednesdays plus two additional days (typically 8am–4:30pm). No weekends or remote work is available; employees must work at the specified Cox location.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction sale lanes on sale days in a safe manner.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on the Auction premises, customer dealerships, and businesses, following Auction driving rules and traffic laws.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate “lost” vehicles.
• Assist operators in starting vehicles, inflating tires, and jump‑starting using a battery box and air tank.
• Notify supervisor of inoperative vehicles; notify Service or Gas Truck Driver when a vehicle runs out of gas.
• Assist customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
• Demonstrate a safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
• Actively participate in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties assigned by management and may be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Physical requirements: stand, walk, reach, lift 1–15lbs, sit for prolonged periods, walk long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb.
• Vision: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
• Preference: High School Diploma or equivalent; previous auction experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
