Job description

Driver I - Non‑DOT Management Level Individual Contributor

Flexibly scheduled part‑time drivers needed at a specified Cox location (no remote option). Shift times are Tuesday 7:00am–4:00pm, Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm, and Friday 8:00am–4:30pm. Pay is $15.12 per hour with a $500 sign‑on bonus after 90 days.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to customer dealerships and businesses, observing all driving rules and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader; move vehicles as necessary.
• Locate “lost” vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed.
• Inflate tires and jump‑start vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary.
• Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when the vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
• Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; safe drivers needed.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, walk long distances, stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear frequently.
• Must stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb as frequently required.
• Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, and color vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Previous auction experience.
• Preferred: Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise level.
