Job summary

Avamere is seeking a Server to provide exceptional dining service in a memory care, assisted living and/or independent living setting in Bend, Oregon. You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities include setting up and clearing tables, delivering room service when requested, and maintaining high hygiene and safety standards. The role requires friendly interaction with residents and teamwork with kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided for sanitation and safety.
• Maintain high personal hygiene standards at all times.
• Strong interpersonal skills with residents and staff.
• Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable during employment.
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local health department.

Responsibilities

• Accurately taking and delivering meal and beverage orders.
• Promptly serving food and beverages and presenting them attractively.
• Providing attentive, friendly service and addressing resident needs.
• Setting up dining room and maintaining cleanliness during service.
• Clearing and resetting tables for the next service.
• Taking and delivering room service orders when needed.
• Answering questions about menus and dietary needs.
• Interacting with residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Collaborating with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Disposing of food and waste per policy.
• Performing other duties appropriate to the position.
