Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living seeks a Server (Finance) to provide excellent dining service in memory care, assisted living and/or independent living settings. You will take orders, serve meals, set up tables, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a positive dining experience for residents.

This full-time role at Avamere at Suzanne Elise in Seaside requires weekend availability and offers benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintaining high personal hygiene and hair control.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with residents and staff.
• Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment.
• Must obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Must hold a Food Handlers card from the local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related regulations for facilities.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Create a warm, patient, enthusiastic, and cheerful dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver meal and beverage orders accurately.
• Promptly deliver food and beverages, presenting items attractively.
• Provide attentive, courteous service and address residents' needs.
• Set up dining room before meals and maintain cleanliness throughout service.
• Clear tables and reset for the next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Know the menu and answer questions about food and dietary needs.
• Interact professionally with residents and guests.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per established policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
