University Unions at UT Austin is seeking a full-time Building Attendant II to support operations across campus facilities, including venues, offices, dining areas, and recreation spaces at the William C. Powers, Jr.

Student Activity Center, 2201 Speedway, Austin, TX. The role requires performing cleaning and maintenance duties, assisting with events, following supervisor directions, and complying with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, environmental services, hospitality, warehouse, production, or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, written instructions, product labels and instructions, and other written job materials.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to be an effective team member.
• Flexibility is key for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the area immediately outside the facility remains neat and clean.
• Assist with floor care, including shampooing carpets, scrubbing floors and stripping and finishing floors.
• Clean, stock and maintain the male and female restrooms.
• Assist with room set-ups and breakdowns for special events.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and remove trash throughout the facility.
• Follow job requirements, and direction from building supervisors.
• Use proper cleaning materials, correctly operate janitorial equipment and adhering to required safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned by the building supervisors.
