Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Pottstown, PA is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to drive B2B sales and deliver consultative service at the PAPOT Public Store.

The role focuses on developing partnerships, growing existing accounts, and presenting the value of inventory management solutions to customers. You will build new and nurture existing relationships, coordinate resources for customer needs, and travel locally in a company vehicle when required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver\'s license with ability to drive company vehicle as needed.
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR related work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong aptitude for sales and customer service orientation.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in US, Puerto Rico and Guam)

Responsibilities

• Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
• Providing value to customer through a consultative sales approach
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
