Job summary

Planet Fitness in Brockton, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support gym operations and deliver a Judgement Free member experience while driving club profitability.

This full-time role (40 hours/week) involves assisting in recruiting, training, and supervising staff, managing front desk operations, achieving sales goals, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. Prior management experience is preferred and CPR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Involved in front desk activities: answer phones, check-in, new member sign-up, tours.
• Facilitate all member requests, issues and questions.
• Assist in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of facility.
• Assist in ordering supplies within budget.
• Assist in tracking statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, yearly).
• Backup support for any employee who is absent.
