Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and deliver a Judgement Free experience while driving club profitability. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with potential travel, nights, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.

You will assist in recruiting and developing staff, manage front desk activities, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others and commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests and ensure superior customer service.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager and supervise staff scheduling.
• Oversee front desk activities, check-ins, tours, and member inquiries.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and manage supplies within budget.
