Job summary

Planet Fitness in Somerset, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and deliver a “Judgement Free” member experience while driving financial success. You will lead daily front desk operations, supervise staff, and support the Club Manager with recruitment, training, and member services.

Requirements include 18+, strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to excellent service; prior management preferred; CPR certification preferred; proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to work full-time schedules.
• Passion for helping others and delivering excellent service.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales goals and contribute to club targets.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop a high-performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure superior customer service.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager and assist with staff management.
• Schedule and supervise staff; oversee front desk activities and member services.
• Resolve employee issues and escalate as needed.
• Handle member inquiries, sign-ups, tours and check-ins at the front desk.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility; track statistics and reports.
• Order supplies within club budgets and support weekly/monthly planning.
• Provide backup coverage for absent staff as needed.
