Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a detail‑oriented A/P Specialist to join our accounting and finance team. You will manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, enter invoices in Sage Intacct, match to POs, and maintain proper approvals.

The role emphasizes accurate GL coding, vendor communications, month‑end close support, expense reports, and continuous improvement of AP processes. Remote-first workplace with flexibility and national reach.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience; bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle AP function, including monitoring the AP inbox and entering invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation while ensuring proper approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal departments about AP-related questions.
• Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for our procurement tool, including user support and approval workflow maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and increase efficiency.
