Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Site Leader to oversee all operations at a Fulfillment Center, leading a large team of salaried and hourly staff. You will manage budget, safety, productivity, and customer experience while driving strategy and execution across outbound or inbound operations.

You will mentor leaders, collaborate with HR, Finance, Maintenance, Safety, IT, and other functions, and contribute to long-term capacity and workforce planning in a fast-paced, expansive facility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics or related environment/operations experience.
• Experience in a Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics or related environment/operations.
• Bachelor's degree or Advanced Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Owns and delivers the operational budget for functional area, including safety, productivity, financial and labor planning, and operational goals for outbound or inbound operations.
• Provides strategic long-term planning (3, 6, 12 months) including labor planning, rate forecasting, and peak season planning.
• Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet/exceed objectives; leverages leaders to gather insights and address challenges.
• Networks with other leaders to share process improvements and drive efficiencies and cost savings.
• Establishes objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
• Sets clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Mentors and develops leaders and staff.
• Participates in recruiting to identify and evaluate candidates for promotion and hire.
