Job summary

Amazon in Oklahoma City is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budgetary and people development, coaching a team of Operations and Area Managers to meet performance objectives and build leadership across the Fulfillment Center.

You will drive Lean initiatives, manage Inbound or Outbound operations, set expectations, measure performance, and push for continuous improvement through best-practice sharing across shifts and departments.

Qualifications

• Experience with Lean techniques and process improvement.
• Experience with performance metrics and Lean initiatives.
• Ability to lead and develop a salaried workforce in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with full staffing lifecycle including interviewing and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Leads quality initiatives and Lean projects to improve efficiency and meet business plans.
• Oversees overall safety, quality and performance for Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets clear requirements for Ops and Area Managers and monitors performance.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and create improvement plans across the functional area.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments and shifts.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Ops Managers for resources.
