Job summary

Amazon in Monroe, Ohio is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee budget, people development, and all site-wide operations at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach staff, and build leadership depth within the FC.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer experience, driving Lean initiatives and partnering with HR, Finance, Facilities, and IT to secure resources for cross-shift improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drives quality initiatives, process changes and Lean initiatives to meet the FC goals.
• Oversees safety, quality, performance and customer experience for either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets expectations for Operations and Area Managers and measures performance.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and create improvement plans.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure support and resources.
