Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in a full-time, entry-level capacity to lead a team of hourly associates across fulfillment networks. The role involves engaging, mentoring, and developing staff in a highly active warehouse environment.

As an Area Manager, you will drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance while benefiting from extensive training to become an effective people leader. Relocation offers and comprehensive benefits are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities) and step in as needed.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable).
