Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems in customer locations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and implement field upgrades with strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and travel to various sites. A technical electrical background and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with electrical coursework.
• 3+ years direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate the fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers as required
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• Travel as required and drive safely.
• Report feedback to regional service representatives regarding fuel cell performance.
• Complete incident reports and service logs with documentation.
• Exhibit and enforce safety procedures in the field.
• Represent Plug Power professionally in all interactions.
