Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service fuel cells at customer sites, performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.

The role requires strong technical and communication skills, with travel to client locations as needed and a focus on safety and quality. You'll work under the Field Service department, use a personal set of tools, and report issues while maintaining documentation and collaborating with regional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate to keep the fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
