Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks at a specific location. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, and report events, while ordering parts and maintaining site documentation.

This role requires strong technical and communication skills and a safe, professional presence in customer environments. The position involves field service, travel as required, and the use of standard tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide emergency support to customers as needed.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service.
• May troubleshoot high-pressure hydrogen storage, delivery, and fueling systems.
• Communicate with customer personnel and regional service reps about issues.
