Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support fuel cell systems in electric lift trucks. The role includes preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution, parts ordering, and site documentation. Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. On-site travel to customer locations is expected as part of normal duties.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license with clean record; able to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate fleet performance at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide emergency support to customers as needed.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for field service.
