Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our fuel cell products in customer locations. This non-exempt, hourly role covers installation, service, diagnostics and preventative maintenance, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will manage tools, parts, and documentation while often working with lift truck personnel. The position requires a valid driver license, 3+ years in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with technical electrical coursework.
• 0
• 3+ years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Valid driver license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot to maintain fleet at a specific location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• Travel as required for business needs; drive safely and adhere to traffic laws.
• Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times.
• Complete administrative duties & documentation.
