Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician in Monroe, OH to support fuel cell systems in electric lift trucks. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair issues, and install or upgrade fuel cell hardware and software at a fixed location.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Travel and on-site customer interaction are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Experience with fuel cells or hydrogen systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support.
• Travel as required for business needs and drive safely.
• Report breakdown events, parts ordering and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure safety procedures in the field and at customer sites.
