Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell systems in electric lift trucks at a customer site.

Primary duties include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, with field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades. The role requires at least a high school diploma with technical electrical coursework, 3+ years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver license, clean driving record, ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate fleet performance at location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency support to customers.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service as required.
• Travel as required and drive safely.
• Represent Plug Power professionally in interactions.
• Complete administrative duties and service logs.
