Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for Monroe, OH to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks. The role involves preventative maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and field upgrades at a customer site.

Strong technical, communication, and safety skills are essential for on-site service and travel as needed. The position emphasizes reporting breakdowns, ordering parts, and maintaining service logs, with on-call support and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis unassisted.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Performing field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Providing on-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service as required.
