Job summary

HBC is seeking a Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain FTTH broadband for residential and business customers across multiple communities in MN/WI. You will troubleshoot and configure equipment, ensure service reliability, and follow safety standards while delivering excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities include on-site visits, educating customers on Internet/Video/Voice services, and identifying up-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid and Clean Driver's License is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Able to troubleshoot and repair customer products/services using knowledge of plant distribution and customer equipment operation.
Able to locate and mark underground services utilizing test equipment, prints, and data base mapping software.
Knowledge and experience splicing and repairing fiber.
Knowledge of electronics, DC power, and fiber optic equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, connect, troubleshoot, repair, and configure FTTH equipment and services at residential and commercial locations.
Test and verify broadband services are functioning correctly.
Test and locate faults, replace defective equipment, and maintain proper craftsmanship of fiber components.
Educate customers on services and upsell additional solutions.
Maintain records of service calls and updates to customer accounts.
