Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate residents, initiate therapies, and document care to support geriatric patients’ respiratory health in a collaborative setting.

The role requires state licensure (RRT/CRT), COARC-accredited respiratory education, and BLS. Expect independent practice, bedside therapies, and ongoing staff education in a structured facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and implement therapies for patients with varied respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Document daily, weekly and monthly activities and outcomes.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and participate in caseload management.
• Manage airway clearance, suctioning, and tracheostomy care per policy.
