Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, with a license in the practice state and a passion for geriatric care.

The role involves assessments, initiating therapies, documenting progress, and performing a range of respiratory treatments per departmental policy, including care for tracheostomy patients in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with a range of respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments for residents.
• Deliver in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Complete tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Perform related duties as required.
