Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help secure our store and deliver excellent customer service in Baltimore. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report theft incidents while upholding our safety standards and company values.

The role supports associates through shortage reduction programs and provides a safe shopping environment. Candidate should have 1+ year experience in customer service or related fields, with the ability to stand for long periods

Qualifications

1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring the store environment.
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional behavior at all times.
Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

Monitor entrance and high‑risk areas to reduce theft and maintain a secure shopping environment.
Greet customers at entrances with a warm, confident greeting and assist as needed.
Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
Provide support in shortage reduction programs and train associates when applicable.
