Job summary

Burlington is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure, welcoming shopping experience. You will greet customers with energy, monitor store activity, and deter theft at entrances and high-risk areas.

Your role supports leadership by reporting incidents promptly and assisting in shortage reduction initiatives. Ideal candidates will have 1+ years in customer service or retail, enjoy fast-paced work, and maintain a professional appearance and confidential approach.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or loss prevention.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication and observational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and ensure a secure store environment.
• Monitor entrances/exits and high-risk areas to deter theft.
• Conduct bag checks following company policy and safety standards.
• Report theft or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty promptly.
• Provide support and training to associates on shortage reduction programs.
