Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure, welcoming store environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas, greet customers with energy, and partner with leadership to reduce theft opportunities.

With 1+ years in customer service or retail, you will communicate theft-prevention basics during rallies, report incidents to the Manager on Duty, and support training of teammates on shortage reduction

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Strong posture, energetic greeting, and positive demeanor to foster trust.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and high‑risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm, loud, friendly greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on associates, following safety and security standards.
