Job summary

KLA seeks a technically strong engineer to support advanced panel-process platforms and OSAT customers. You will troubleshoot complex semiconductor tooling issues, deploy to customer sites, and collaborate with global field and engineering teams to improve product reliability and service delivery.

The role emphasizes on-site problem solving, knowledge capture, and delivering actionable plans to reduce MTTR while expanding the team’s capabilities. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of demonstrated engineering experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Willingness to work in a clean-room environment and travel up to 50%.
• Ability to act independently with minimal planning and drive work to resolution, including post-mortem actions.
• Mechanical, electronics, and electrical interface diagnostics and fixing.

Responsibilities

• Respond to situations where field service engineers have not resolved highly technical system-performance issues—provide plans of action or on-site assistance.
• Provide burst/surge support to customer sites with unplanned demand or limited headcount.
• Capture Best-Known-Methods and document them into internal knowledge systems.
• Assemble and analyze data from remote sites to identify technical, process, and people-based issues.
• Write technical reports on issues, analysis, system status, BKMs, and recommendations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of demonstrated engineering experience
