Job summary

KLA is seeking a Technical Product Support Engineer to deliver advanced troubleshooting for sophisticated semiconductor capital equipment. The role is hands-on, equipment-focused, and involves diagnosing complex issues across optical, electrical, mechanical, and software domains.

You will work with field engineers, product specialists, and engineering teams to determine root causes, develop recovery plans, and restore equipment performance for customers. Expect 40–70% travel and on-site support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on equipment problem-solving experience.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or similar capital equipment.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly in reports and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical escalation for unresolved equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot optical, electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, control, and software components.
• Identify root causes, plan corrective actions, and minimize downtime.
• Prepare service and postmortem reports after significant events.
• Travel regionally and internationally to support critical escalations on-site.
