Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Patient Services Associate to be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience. This role blends administrative, clerical, and clinical support to streamline workflows and coordinate care with providers and staff.

Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, insurance verification, payments, appointment scheduling, EMR maintenance, and assisting with rooming, sample collection, and vaccinations under provider orders.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma or LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee completion.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Excel.
• Excellent communication and empathy in patient interactions.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows and basic patient care practices.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/check-out and accurate patient registration.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments.
• Process referrals and schedule appointments.
• Maintain and document in EMR systems with accuracy.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with labs and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders when within scope.
• Conduct follow-up calls post-discharge.
