Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in Springfield, MO is seeking a Patient Access Representative who will be the first point of contact for our patients, representing Mercy with exceptional customer service, compassion and alignment with Mercy Service Standards.

You will facilitate the patient’s entrance into Mercy facilities by scheduling, registration, benefit verification, pre-certification and financial clearance, and you will maintain accurate data in the patient

Qualifications

• Experience in clerical or customer service roles preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred.
• High school diploma required; some college helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, scheduling and registering as needed.
• Verify insurance benefits, perform pre-certifications and financial clearance.
• Ensure accurate data collection and entry into patient records.
