Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to join the Battery Remanufacturing Team in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The Remanufacturing Engineer II blends technical depth with first-principles thinking to ensure high-performance, sustainable remanufactured HV battery assets.

You will own components, lead root-cause investigations, and drive improvements across the production floor while collaborating with process, test, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with 1-3+ years of hands-on mechanical/electrical work in manufacturing or prototyping.
• Strong problem-solving using core engineering principles and teardowns.
• Familiar with electro-mechanical systems and diagnostic testing.
• Experience with design tools and issue tracking platforms.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own HV battery components and remanufactured assets on the line.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement engineering solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost battery yield and reduce waste.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Process, Test, Operations, and Product teams.
• Manage suppliers for rapid change and feedback loop to development.
• Provide on-site support for HV battery assemblies in Shepherdsville, KY.
