Job summary

Affirm in Baltimore seeks an Engineering Manager for the Consumer team to lead a front-end‑focused, multi‑product initiative across iOS, Android, and Web. You\'ll shape technical strategy, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Design, and Analytics to deliver scalable customer experiences.

You will own the availability and performance of consumer‑critical systems, drive a multi‑quarter roadmap, and foster a high‑trust, inclusive culture while solving complex problems in a remote‑first

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years managing and growing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing software and driving execution through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a well-balanced team of engineers, setting expectations and providing feedback.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap across front-end projects.
• Empower your tech lead and engineers during design and cross-functional alignment.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems, including on-call and incident response.
• Drive alignment across organizations and influence roadmaps with partner experience and foundational teams.
• Partner with Product, Design, Analytics, and other Engineering teams to build trust and drive cross-functional outcomes.
