Affirm is reinventing credit with a remote-first approach. Affirm seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the front-end facing cross-team projects across mobile and web, collaborating with product, design, and analytics to deliver seamless consumer experiences.

In the Consumer team, you’ll define and own the team’s technical strategy, multi-quarter roadmap, and ensure availability and performance of critical systems while mentoring engineers toward the next level.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in people management.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing software and executing amid ambiguity.
• Ability to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions.
• Led significant initiatives end-to-end, within timelines.
• Proficient with modern full-stack development and declarative UI (React/React Native).
• Calm, decisive leadership in change and ambiguity; builds trust.
• Strong communication, analytics, and stakeholder influence.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree required.
