Affirm is reinventing credit with a remote-first approach, building scalable systems across mobile, web, and backend services. We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Consumer front-end initiatives, partnering with product, design, and analytics to deliver trusted experiences for millions of users.

You will manage a diverse team, own the roadmap, ensure reliability, and drive cross-team alignment to propel affirm’s mission forward.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering leadership.
• Proven ability to deliver consumer-facing software and drive execution through ambiguity.
• Strong architectural judgment to guide quality and reliability decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a balanced team of engineers with clear expectations and feedback.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap.
• Empower engineers to maintain design and quality standards with cross-functional alignment.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems.
• Drive alignment across organizations and influence partner and foundational teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and other Engineering teams.
