Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Services Representative to manage the front desk at the NSt Rose Medical Pavilion. The role focuses on patient registration, check-in/out, and insurance verification to ensure a smooth ambulatory clinic experience.

Responsibilities include collecting copays, processing referrals, and supporting MyChart activation. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS/Basic Life Support certification preferred.
• Experience in clerical, registration and/or customer service in health care is preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Register patients prior to visit and upon arrival, including entering demographics and insurance verification.
• Collect copays and self-pay balances.
• Handle check-in/check-out and phone reception as needed.
• Explain facility policies and obtain required signatures on forms.
