Job summary

Kansas Health System seeks a Patient Services Representative (GB) to ensure a seamless patient experience at the St Rose Medical Pavilion front office. The role covers patient registration, insurance verification, copay collection and preparing documentation for visits and procedures.

The PSR will also assist with scheduling, check-in/out, and using the MyChart EMR system, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and admitting procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Clerical, registration and/or customer service experience within a health care setting.
• Fluent English - Reading and writing.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe and Office.
• Knowledge of Financial Information/Insurance details preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients prior to visit or on arrival, including demographics, insurance verification, scanning, documentation and referrals.
• Preauthorization of clinic visits as needed.
• Collect copays and self-pay balances.
• Process check-in/out and provide phone reception as needed.
• Explain facility policies and obtain patient signatures for forms.
