The Boston Symphony Orchestra seeks a Front of House Supervisor to lead usher staff at Symphony Hall in Boston, ensuring patron safety and delivering exceptional service during performances.

You'll work closely with FOH leadership, manage on-duty roles, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety procedures. Flexible hours include weekends and late nights, with a focus on calm, capable crowd management.

• Experience leading teams in high-traffic environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and courteous under pressure in large crowds.
• Flexible hours including late nights and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Provide strong and supportive leadership to the usher team, coordinating with FOH leadership.
• Deliver customer service of the highest quality to all Symphony Hall patrons.
• Greet and assist patrons in a cheerful, helpful manner.
• Serve as manager on duty when FOH Director/Manager are unavailable (weekly).
• Maintain knowledge of safety and evacuation procedures for quick, calm response.
• Lead pre- and post-concert meetings and oversee concert logistics when working independently.
• Assist patrons with information on layout and amenities of Symphony Hall.
