Job summary

Hopkins Center in Hanover, NH, seeks a Front of House Manager to oversee all FoH operations for center events. You will lead temporary staff, students, and volunteers while ensuring top-tier customer service for patrons, alumni, donors, and faculty.

The role requires a flexible schedule with nights and weekends, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to equity and anti-racist teamwork. Familiarity with Tessitura or access control is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of administrative experience in an arts setting.
• 1 year on-site during live events, assisting patrons of all ages.
• Demonstrated management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to build professional relationships with students and volunteers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Enjoy meeting the public and solving problems in public service.
• Commitment to equitable, anti-racist teamwork; related training is a plus.
• Irregular schedule: nights/weekends, some late nights/early mornings.
• Ability to lift/move boxes of programs and stanchions.
• Strong initiative; work independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with ADA and PCI policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front of House operations for Hopkins Center events.
• Direct reports include temporary staff, students, and community usher volunteers.
• Maintain high level of customer service for diverse patrons and constituents.
• Schedule includes regular nights and weekends at events.
• Coordinate with the department contact and relevant campus partners.
