Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a safety and asset protection associate to help deter theft and ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and team members.

You will actively identify unsafe conditions, engage with customers, respond to alerts, check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, and document incidents.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1–2 years of customer service or asset protection experience, and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and quickly resolve unsafe conditions and situations.
• Prevent theft through an active presence and engagement with customers entering and exiting.
• Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, and resolve alarms.
• Reduce store disruption following de-escalation techniques.
• Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm activity incidents.
